We employ around 350 staff. Half our staff teach in the senior and junior schools, while half provide essential and high quality support to the core educational function.

Teaching Opportunities at St Paul's School
Head of Spanish
Commencing Autumn Term 2024 or Spring 2025
We are seeking to appoint an organised and enthusiastic Head of Spanish. As Head of Spanish, your role will be to efficiently manage the curriculum, staffing and resources of the department, and to contribute with other Heads of Department to the academic development of the School. The successful candidate will have a passion for the Hispanic world, its language and cultures, a strong academic background and be willing to contribute to the wider life of the School.
The School’s salary scale is substantially above the national scale.

Teaching Opportunities at St Paul's Juniors
Head of Third Years (National Curriculum Years 7&8)
Commencing Autumn Term 2024
We are looking for someone with energy, wisdom and compassion to lead our two oldest year groups and play a key role on the Senior Leadership Team. You will be an excellent leader, with impressive interpersonal skills, who thoroughly enjoys working with bright, engaging boys. The role is a good stepping-stone to Deputy Headship.
The successful candidate will lead a team of excellent Form Tutors, support the needs of the boys in NC Years 7 and 8, and be the key point of contact for pupils, parents and staff. They will also play a central role in the 11+ entrance and induction processes. This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the development of the boys as they embrace their final two years at SPJ whilst preparing for the move to St Paul’s School.

Opportunities for Support Staff
Pupil Supervisor
Commencing as soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint a Pupil Supervisor who will be required to supervise pupils during break and lunchtimes, ensuring a calm and positive atmosphere within the school. On occasion they may be required to assist with other areas of activity in the school, for example lesson cover or administrative support to the Attendance team, at the direction of the Deputy Head Pastoral.
Hourly rate dependent on experience and the duties covered.
The successful candidates will be employed on a casual contract and paid for the hours worked on a monthly basis. On days when the Pupil Supervisor works from morning break through to the end of lunch-break, pay will be guaranteed for 3 hours and 40 minutes (with further work available either before or after that).
Early application is advised and interviews will take place on a rolling basis.

Rowing Coach (Casual)
Commencing As Soon As Possible
We are seeking to appoint a Rowing Coach to be engaged on a casual contract with the School to coach across several different year group squads. The post holder will take lead responsibility for coaching a set crew in the regatta season under the guidance of the year group lead coach, and work with the year group lead coach to assist with the logistics and administration. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of rowing and/or coaching experience and exemplify the values of the school.
Salary: Competitive
Hours: This is a casual position and hours of work will be confirmed with your line manager as and when assistance is required. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Rugby Coach (Casual)
Commencing As Soon As Possible
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Rugby Coach to join our established and successful Rugby club. The chosen applicant should have the ability to motivate and enthuse pupils of all ages and abilities. This is an ideal coaching role for a qualified coach looking for a new challenge or a player looking to move into a coaching role.
Salary: Competitive, discussed at interview.

Theatre Designer
Commencing September 2024
Production dates: 26 November – 3 December 2024
St. Paul’s School Drama Department is looking to appoint a Designer for our Musical production of Oklahoma! in November 2024. The successful applicant will work alongside the St. Paul’s Technical Team to design and build the set, as well as sourcing and/or making costumes.
Assignment fee: £2500
Hours of work are variable.
The closing date for all applications is midday on Thursday 2 May 2024. Interviews will take place 9 and 10 May 2024.
