Entry at age 16

‘I want to go and change the world.’ — L8th former

Boys who join us at 16+ come from a wide range of backgrounds, including many from the UK state sector and schools overseas. They bring to the school very different experiences and views that help to make the caring and tolerant community that is St Paul’s.

Boys in their later teenage years, whilst almost physically grown, are still psychologically fragile. They are searching for values to underpin their lives and finding their place and voice in society. St Paul’s provides these young men with exciting academic stimulation, an almost limitless opportunity to explore and develop their talents in extra-curricular activities, but, most importantly, the immersion in an intellectually challenging atmosphere.

We believe that when Paulines leave they should be honest men of principle and integrity, able to argue from an informed viewpoint, respecting the views of others and ready and able to serve in the community.

We have great facilities in Art, Drama, Music and Sport and St Paul’s is fortunate to be in one of world’s outstanding cultural centres. What makes us special and different? The boys and the staff — their talents and skills, their mutual trust and respect. Our cohesion allows us to flourish and nurture excellence in all we do.
