Entry at age 7, 8 or 11

‘I do so much more extra-curricular stuff than at my old school’ — 4th former

Although St Paul’s doesn’t start until age 13, you can come to the school by first joining Colet Court, our preparatory school, at age 7, 8 or 11 — moving on to the senior school when you’re 13.

Boys from state primary schools have their own entrance examination in Year 5, allowing them to finish their final year in their current school before moving to Colet Court at age 11. They will then enjoy two years of Coletine life during which they will be fully prepared for the move to St Paul’s at age 13.

No registration fees or forms are needed at this stage: parents simply add their son’s name to Colet Court’s 11+ list by contacting the Admissions secretary (020 8746 5481) in the September prior to the February entrance examination. We will only ask for a registration fee if your son is offered a place.

If preferred, boys may take an entrance exam in Year 6, alongside those pupils from independent prep schools which finish at age 11.
