Halley lecture, 2011
Book signing in the Walker Library
This year’s Halley lecture was given last Thursday by Professor Richard Dawkins.
He spoke first about his recently published book, The Magic of Reality, thanking five St Paul’s teachers — Tom Lowes, Sam Roberts, Owen Toller, Will Williams and Ken Zetie — for their contribution in checking its scientific content. In the main part of his talk he explored the possibility of life evolving on other planets.
The Halley lecture occurs annually and is named after Edmond Halley (OP). Find out more about our science society, the Halley society.
