Help for Heroes

Alex Bridle and Tom Jackson (Year 12) start a nine-day cycle ride immediately after term, crossing the length of Britain in support of Help for Heroes.

They’ve already collected over £3,500. With the cycle ride and a fund-raising concert in St Paul’s Cathedral, they aim to raise £50,000.

We’re aiming to raise at least £50,000 for the Personnel Recovery Centres at Tedworth House. We have held several events over the last six months and these culminate in a cycle ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

But before that, on 29 June at St Paul’s Cathedral, there will be the first performance of a newly commissioned anthem, ‘Went The Day Well?’, sung by the choristers of  the Cathedral. This beautiful piece, written at our request for Help for Heroes by Ben Parry, the Director of the Junior Royal Academy of Music, will be available for sale on CD via our website.

There will be a pre-concert reception in the Cathedral’s crypt at 6.15pm, with canapés and wine and a chance to meet Alex, Tom and members of Help for Heroes.

There’s also a JustGiving page if you’d like to donate online towards Alex’s and Tom’s fund-raising.
