Young Enterprise

This year’s Young Enterprise competition is still in its early stages but already St Paul’s is leading the way, progressing further in the competition than it has in the last seven years.

Young Enterprise is a competition that runs all year round. Students create and run a business, going through the entire process of product development, market research, sales, marketing and financial management. At the end of the year, students compete in a series of rounds and are tested on a company report, a trade stand and a five minute presentation.

Team ‘Summit’, having squeezed narrowly past the other St Paul’s team, ‘Vertex’, in the Richmond and Kingston area final, went on to represent the school at the South London Young Enterprise final. Despite coming up against the team that pushed them in to 2nd place at the Richmond and Kingston final (‘Phoenix’, from The Tiffin Girls’ School), the team beat off all competition to claim 1st prize.

Alongside this, they won the prize for most innovative product (their Perfume Pen) and, most importantly, a place in the London final on the 26 June. They will be competing for a sought after place in the national final.
