Young Enterprise success
Congratulations to team ‘Summit’, winners of the HSBC Young Enterprise Company of the Year 2011 Award as well as Young Enterprise Marketing Award.
After 5 rounds of competition, and out of 2,200 companies and 30,000 entrants aged 15 to 19, Summit was voted best overall company at the Young Enterprise UK finals. The team won £1,500 and go to Norway next month to represent the UK at the JA-YE Europe Company of the Year championship.
The three days of competition, involving a trade stand, a presentation and an interview with the judges, saw some teams boasting turnovers of more than £15,000 and others with sales as far away as Australia. In the end, it was Summit’s innovative product, Click: The Perfume Pen, and ruthless marketing that pushed them to the top.
All credit goes to the entire team and, in particular, to the presentation team (pictured above) of Preye Koroye-Crooks, Hugo Murphy, Sohrab Najile-Rahim, Aska Ross and Managing-Director Jai Kapoor. They are the first London team to win the competition in over 20 years and the first from St Paul’s ever to do so.
