Athletics

Over the Easter break, the St Paul’s Athletics Team trained in the Algarve, Portugal. The team is now in prime condition, ready to live up to the successes of last season.

The squad stayed at the renowned Brown’s Training Camp, a centre whose world-class facilities attract top sports teams from all countries. The daily routine of morning track work, with afternoons divided between spinning classes, aqua running, gym and sand training, was demanding and productive. A daily recovery session, combining the steamy pleasures of the spa with a (brief) swim in the numbingly cold outdoor pool, proved most welcome.

The team will participate in the customary events this summer: the Achilles’ Relays, Cholmeley Shield, Radley Relays, Tonbridge and Charterhouse meetings. They will also be defending their title at Eton in the Lord Burghley competition.
