Rugby: the 2010 season
Jamie Mitchel touches down against Marlborough
Rugby at St Paul’s has never been stronger or more popular. We fielded 21 teams and on a very tough circuit are able to boast the remarkable achievement of having 7 undefeated teams across the age groups.
The 1st XV recorded one of the best seasons for many years: the side was named Evening Standard team of the month and topped the London South East League. Highlights of a season which saw them win 14 out of 15 matches included beating perennial rugby kingpins Tonbridge for the first time and retaining the 500 cup against RGS Guildford.
Congratulations to the 2nd XV, 4th XV, Colts A, B, C XVs and the Under 15C XV for their unbeaten records.
Six boys are currently in the Wasps Elite Player Development Group and Archie Faulks, Peter Henshall and Leo Buizza were selected for the London and South East Under 16 squad after putting in outstanding performances for the undefeated Colts A side. Archie is currently involved in the England trials and we wish him well for the final selection.
