West of England Schools’ Fives

Yul Kahn Pascual won the Colts Singles, coming back from losing the first game to win 2–1. He beat the number one seed from Blundell’s, Sam Wyatt-Haines, who had beaten Yul in their previous encounter.

Theo Parker and Francis Thomas won the Senior Doubles, beating our second pair, Sam Russell and Matt Shaw, in the final, but only after a great fight. Theo and Francis are one of the strongest doubles pairs we have had for many years. They were invited to play in the British Universities competition last term and reached the semi-final, defeating students with several years more of experience.

Yul and his partner, Oliver Arnold, won the Colts Doubles against Sam Wyatt-Haines and partner, displaying great maturity and skill to come back from losing the first game to the top seeds.

In the Senior Singles, Theo narrowly defeated Francis in a long semi, but lost the final in two games to the number one seed from Bradfield. Tim Edmonds and Sri Ram Prince won the Senior Doubles Plate.
