British Informatics Olympiad
10 boys took part in the British Informatics Olympiad computer programming competition earlier this month. Of these five should be awarded distinctions (results are not yet officially announced) and John Mellor has been invited to the final in Cambridge for the second year running. The final involves the best 15 best pupils in the country and is intended to select the four who will go on to represent the UK in the International final in Poland later in the year.
