Isaiah Berlin Society

Named after the great Old Pauline, the Isaiah Berlin Society is our flagship philosophy society

World famous academics are invited to share with our students their research on the answers to life’s great concerns and to respond to students’ questions.

Both hedgehogs and foxes are welcome. The philosophical conversation with our guest continues over lunch and students have the opportunity to learn first-hand about philosophy at university.

In the last few years we have hosted, to name but a few: A.C. Grayling, Brad Hooker, Jonathan Dancy, John Cottingham, Tim Crane, Arif Ahmed, Hugh Mellor and David Papineau.
