On Tuesday 9 November in the Montgomery Room, the Defence Studies Society presented the topic ‘Will China invade Taiwan?’.
Hosted by James Skidmore, Teacher of Politics, pupils listened to a fascinating talk and then had lively discussions in small groups. Picking up on topics covered in the Politics A level International Relations section, the group will go on to discuss key questions in the evolving situation such as:
- Will Japan fight?
- Will America fight?
- How will American public opinion react to an invasion?
- What will Russia do?
- How will NATO react?
- What form will WW3 take?
The Society will discuss these issues at its next meeting on Tuesday 16 November. 9.
