Ukraine Crisis Appeal – Daily 5km Run

18 Lower Eighth students have been running 5km each day for the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Please help them unlock their target of £20,000. Thank you to all who supported this cause. If you would like to contribute, please click here.

“Following the Russian- Ukrainian conflict, 17 boys and I decided to run 5km every day this week (the width of Ukraine) to raise money for The British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal. Personally, I am part-Russian and part-Ukrainian and as a result, I feel emotionally connected to this part of the world – the recent conflict has been tough on my family and me. I am hoping to raise awareness about the war and to encourage donations so that the people affected by the war will be able to receive water, food and warm clothes.

So far, we have raised £16,000 and got some pretty good times, with Harry Hickles managing to run 5km in 19:47 minutes and others running in less than 21 minutes.” Lower Eighth, Victor Mikheev
