St Paul’s School extends warm congratulations to our departing Upper Eighth (Year 13) pupils following the release of A Level results today. The year group has achieved outstanding results which are a testament both to their resilience and hard work, and to the commitment of the staff who supported them.
57% of all grades were at A* with 91% at A*-A. For the second year in a row, over three-quarters of the cohort gained nothing below an A grade, with 43 boys gaining straight A*s.
88% of pupils have met their first choice university offer in the UK and internationally, with 98% meeting first or insurance.
We are pleased to share with you some wonderful individual successes:
- Enlai Rooney was the highest performer in OCR’s A Level Mathematics
- Sasha Georget-Roukline was one of the top performers in OCR’s A Level Art and Design: Fine Art
Sally-Anne Huang, High Master at St Paul’s School, said:
“I never fail to be impressed by all that Paulines can achieve, and I want to say a heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2025, who joined the senior school in the middle of a pandemic and are leaving with this fantastic crop of A Level results. These are the best fully examined grades at the school since 2010.
At a time when there is so much discussion about the academic performance of young men, I am proud of the whole staff team at St Paul’s who continue to demonstrate expertise in and enthusiasm for teaching boys and without whom these fantastic results would not be possible.”
Lachlan Murray, our outgoing School Captain, said that he feels “incredibly fortunate to have been taught by such passionate, knowledgeable, and attentive teachers throughout my two years of A Level studies. They were all extremely generous with their time during the exam period. Any exam success can be attributed to their unwavering guidance and kindness.”
Sai Bhatia, one of our outgoing Vice-Captains, went on to say that “I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities that St Paul’s provided me with and, as I look forward to starting a medical degree at Cambridge, I hope to continue to fuel the curiosity that the school helped encourage in me and my peers over the last 11 years.”
Rohan George, who is one of the Old Pauline Club Leavers’ Reps, said “Results day has left me feeling elated and relieved, as I got the grades to go to my dream university. The last two years have been challenging… but St Paul’s has always been there to guide me and offer me support whenever I needed it. I look forward to being the Old Pauline Club representative for my first year at Oxford, and I can’t wait to play rugby there!”
Full exam results will be available on our website in October.
