We are delighted that there has been recent academic success in the RSC Chemistry Olympiad and the 2021 Immerse Education Essay Competition.
RSC Chemistry Olympiad
Upper Eighth students, Jasper Johnston and Eduard Hueffer have both been invited to the second round of the RSC Chemistry Olympiad as a result of being ranked in the top 0.3% of the first round competition. This is the first time since 2010 that two Paulines have been invited to the second round in the same year.
2021 Immerse Education Essay Competition
There has been further success in the 2021 Immerse Education Essay Competition; Jamie Moras (Lower Eighth) won a partial scholarship under the Chemistry category for his essay entitled “What is the biggest impact that chemistry has had in the last 100 years?”. Youngmo Koo (Lower Eighth) was also among the top entrants for his essay submission and was awarded a partial scholarship.
Finally, Fourth Form pupil, Haruki Matsunaga entered the Law category of the competition for 13-15 year olds with his essay ‘What does justice mean?’ and has also received a partial scholarship.
