Yesterday saw the opening night of the Art & Science exhibition in the Milton Gallery.
The evening was well attended by artists, parents and friends of the school, as well as several staff members and students. This show will remain open during school hours until 22 March, with the gallery being used for Art lessons for our students across the Senior and Junior School during this time, as well as for outreach lessons with local schools.
The exhibition explores a few themes encompassed by the huge umbrella of Science. Displayed are botanical and zoological drawings which were used to explain scientific findings, alongside sculptures inspired by space travel. There are also pieces that looked to the future; some of these were created by artificial intelligence, some which explored the complexity in simple algorithms and others that examined the issue of pollution in our seas and rivers. If you are in school before the exhibition closes, do pop in to have a look.
