There were spirited performances across the board at Tonbridge School on Saturday with the U15 and U16 teams both finishing in third place.
Fresh from a silver medal in the County Schools’ Championships last weekend, Louis Nuthall (Fifth Form) won the U16 high jump with a leap of 1.75m, also adding a second place in the long jump. In the U18 category, Andreas Hadjiloizou (Lower Eighth) had a busy day taking wins in the shot (12.13m) and discus (32.74m). The Man of the Match went to Constantine Kondylis (Fourth Form) who took a comprehensive win in the U15 300m, setting a new school record time of 39.0 seconds. That is the end of full team matches for the season, however, Sol Inglis (Lower Eighth), Kondylis and Noah Malley (Fourth Form) will compete in the South East Combined Events Championships this coming weekend; and Max Bishop (Lower Eighth) and Alex Pama (Upper Eighth) will compete in the English Schools Individual Event Championships the weekend after. We wish them all the best of luck.
