On Wednesday 9 March, the Battle of the Bands competition was held in the Atrium and were treated to some fantastic performances from both St Paul’s School and St Paul’s Girls’ School. The judges were particularly impressed with the technical ability shown by our pupils, who all put on great shows, sounding excellent. It was all the more impressive as each band was completely self-organised, with no creative input from any member of staff.
The following pupils took part in their bands:
Moon Central Station – Federico and Dominic Buxton, Upper Eighth
Psychopomp – Rana, Jim, Joe and Joachim, Upper Eighth
Estilo – Sabeer, Jack, Nico, Hayden and Joe, Lower Eighth
SPS/SPGS Toing band – Kasra and Eashan, Upper Eighth
Moon Central Station (Federico and Dominic, Upper Eighth) should be especially congratulated for taking the title home on Wednesday, with a sensitive performance and arrangement of their cover and original song, and all judges agreed that they would listen to their music if available on a streaming platform.
