Bebras logical thinking competition results

Recently Paulines competed in the annual Bebras logical thinking competition, organised by Oxford University. This year we saw some spectacular performances. Gold Awards are given to those who placed in the top 10% nationally.

In the Intermediate section (Fourth Form), 124 out of 194 Pauline entrants achieved a Gold Award with Kshitij Dubey scoring full marks (one of just 207 out of 185,560 entrants nationally to do so).

In the Senior section (Fifth/Sixth Forms), 48 out of 159 achieved a Gold Award, with Ishan Madhok and Anango Prabhat (Fifth Form), Ilias Fhail, Christian Reese and Zach Tydeman (Sixth Form) scoring full marks (5 of the just 159 out of 37,317 entrants).

In the Elite section (Eighth Form), 19 out of 49 achieved Gold Awards, with Nat Smith (Upper Eighth) scoring full marks (one of just 33 out of 11,730 entrants nationally).

Congratulations to the pupils who took part. All Gold Award recipients qualify for the Oxford University Computing Challenge, to be held next term.
