We are delighted to share our Public Benefit and Philanthropy Report for the 2023-24 academic year, which highlights the incredible impact of our fundraising efforts, made possible by the generosity of our community.
With the Shaping Our Future: Next Steps campaign reaching its halfway point, this report celebrates everything that makes our community thrive. Since September 2023, we have raised over £4 million—with a strong focus on expanding our bursary and partnership programmes.
One of our greatest achievements has been the continued growth of our Founder’s Awards bursary programme, which now supports 138 pupils. This is a phenomenal step towards our commitment to ensuring that 10% of our student body benefits from bursary support.
Beyond bursaries, our partnership work continues to flourish. This year, we have:
- Launched the residential Summer Space School with UCL Mullard Space Science Laboratory
- Hosted National Physics Laboratory talks, reaching 900 pupils from local maintained schools
- Taken on an exciting new role as a LEGO League hub, working closely with four primary schools
We are also making progress on the Boathouse refurbishment and the construction of the new St Paul’s Junior School, with updates available in the report.
One of the most memorable moments of the year was our Spring Fling in March 2024. The Hurlingham provided the perfect backdrop for a lively evening filled with music from OP and staff bands, a fast-paced live and silent auction, and a moving speech from Former Vice Captain of School, Mustapha Sadiq OP (2022-24), who shared his experience as a Founder’s Award recipient.
This report also showcases the voices of those who make our philanthropy efforts so meaningful, from Founder’s Award parents and TG Committee members (our pupil-led bursary fundraising group) to Physics Summer School attendees and Old Paulines who have pledged lasting gifts in their wills. Their stories remind us of the true impact of our collective efforts.
As we look forward to the rest of the academic year, we have many more exciting community events on the horizon. The Shaping Our Future: Next Steps campaign is still open for support, and there is still time to make a regular or one-off contribution.
