The Autumn Term has was a season of remarkable energy and generosity at St Paul’s, with both the Thomas Gresham Committee and the Charities Committee making a real difference.
Charities Committee – Autumn Term Impact
We had a hugely successful Autumn Term and would like to extend a thank you to everyone who has contributed time, money and donations to the causes listed below. Your continued support of our charitable partnerships has helped us to successfully achieve the following:
- Harvest Festival Food Drive: We collected 160+ bags and 579.25kg of food, which is enough to feed 133 people. These donations were given to Hammersmith and Fulham Food Bank.
- Winter Coat Drive: 153 coats were collected and donated to Calling London, and more than 4 boxes of baby clothes and blankets were donated to our partner charity Little Village.
- Non-Uniform Days: We more than doubled our fundraising compared to the Autumn Term last year, raising an incredible total of £5069.67 in the October and December days combined.
- The Pauls4All Charities Committee sold Christmas cards, designed by Upper First pupils, at the Christmas Fayre in December and raised over £300.
- The Staff Common Room raised over £500 with a staff Christmas bake sale.
- Total fundraising for the Autumn Term is an amazing £5928.71 for our four Whole School Charities. In addition, over £500 was raised at the Prep School Carol Service for their own charity, Castelnau Community Centre.
- A large cohort of pupils volunteered to pack and deliver meals on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for elderly people in the local community. 308 meals were prepared and delivered with handwritten cards!
We look forward to Charities Week at the end of the Spring Term, culminating in our Whole School Charity Walk on Friday 27 March. More information soon to follow.
