Chamber Music Concert

On 9 February, the Chamber Music Masterclass and Concert in the Wathen Hall was a huge success and saw around 30 boys performing a varied selection of chamber music repertoire to a very high standard. We were treated to a masterclass from the superb Alkyona String Quartet, who gave great insights to two groups in the afternoon. In the concert, the Alkyona Quartet joined the performers for a side-by-side performance of Bruch’s rarely performed Octet for strings. It was fabulous to see the professional players inspiring the five boys in the Upper Eighth (Tommaso, Calvin, Cameron, Aidan and Robert), joining together for a performance of extremely high quality.
