Charities Week: Events, Fundraisers & More!

Next week is Charities Week ( w/c 24 March), with fundraising events, talks, debates, and much more taking place throughout the week!

Spotlighted Events:

Charities Fayre – Friday, 28 March
Fundraising games, stalls, and sales run by pupils to highlight the charity events and fundraisers that have been running this year.

Little Village Toiletries Drive – Friday, 28 March
Little Village is our newest local charity partner, running baby banks across the country. Last year, we donated over 500kg of food to support City Harvest’s ‘Harvest Food Drive,’ filling three vans and helping to provide 1,500 meals to people in need.

After the success of this effort, we are launching another drive—this time for Little Village. Thinking ahead to Mother’s Day (30 March), we are running a toiletries drive to help provide toiletries packs for mothers and babies in need.

Here’s the list of requested items and the house responsible for each donation:

  • Blurton – Women’s shampoo/conditioner
  • Cloete – Baby bath/body wash
  • Gilks – Women’s deodorant
  • Harrison – Moisturisers/creams
  • Langley – Toothbrushes (adults and children)
  • Nilsson – Nappies
  • Stewart – Soap
  • Warner – Toothpaste (adults and children)

More information on Little Village and ways to get involved can be found here.
