Chess win for St Paul’s

St Paul’s School won the Team Problem Solving Chess National Final on 29 March at Imperial College London.

The team consisted of Paul Calderon (U8), Rohit Majumdar (L8), Liam Reed (6) and William Lovell (4).

St Paul’s was among six teams that made it to the final of this very unique competition, which to quote one of the participants, “turned chess upside down”. The competition required solving five rounds of tough chess problems, each lasting 30 minutes. A superb result for all involved.
