Pauline climbers took part in a bouldering competition on Saturday.
The competition was close and dramatic, with a bigger field than the last competition in which our team had taken part, and in a different format. There were twenty routes set for the competition initially, and St Paul’s finished at the top of the leader board at the end of this part of the competition, but the organisers then added two especially difficult routes in order to split the field, and Dulwich College slipped ahead to win.
The St Paul’s climbers did brilliantly, however, both as individuals and as a team and worked incredibly hard, impressing the organisers. In the end, though, one young climber from Dulwich was marginally better and managed to clinch it for them. Congratulations to the Pauline climbers for finishing in second place.
