Three Paulines have qualified for the final of the Computing Olympiad.
Adavya Goyal, Anango Prabhat (both Fifth Form) and Haolin Zhao (Lower Eighth) will take part in the final at Trinity College, Cambridge over the Easter break. The top 15 scores in the country receive invitations, so to have 3 qualify in the same year is astonishing.
In addition, Round 1 of the 2023 Oxford University Computing Challenge took place recently.
In the Senior age group (for Years 10 and 11) 9 Paulines received distinctions – with Adavya and Anango joined this time by Aman Parekh (Fifth Form) scoring top marks and receiving an invitation to the final later in the term.
In the Elite age group (Years 12 and 13) Victor Liu (Lower Eighth) scored full marks and has also been invited to the final for that age group; a further 7 other Paulines received distinctions.
