Connecting with the Greek Diaspora in London

On Tuesday 21 April we welcomed the Greek Ambassador, His Excellency Mr Yannis Tsaousis to St Paul’s School.

The event brought together our extended partnerships community to celebrate the Greek diaspora in West London. Pupils, parents, teachers and former pupils from St Paul’s School, St Paul’s Prep School, St Paul’s Girls’ School, Fulham Boys School, Hammersmith Academy and Lift Richmond Park attended.

George, Lower Third at St Paul’s Prep School, began the evening with an engaging account of the historical Greek connection to St Paul’s School and West London. He traced the story from John Colet founding the school with an emphasis on Greek learning through to the modern influence of Greece in West London. Nikolaos, Lower Eighth at St Paul’s School, then hosted a fireside chat with His Excellency, exploring recent history and current connections between Greece and London.

Before and after the proceedings, all attendees enjoyed excellent Greek-inspired food from our catering team, along with good conversation and the opportunity to network with other members of the community.
