Covid-19 Update – As of 16 September 2020
St Paul’s School reopened the physical site to all pupils at the start of term on Friday 4 September and pupils are now working in year group ‘bubbles’.
Before their return, all parents and staff received a copy of the school’s full Risk Assessment which was approved by our Governing Body. Some of these details may be subject to change as the Covid-19 situation evolves over the coming months and this document will continue to be updated and shared with parents and staff. Pupils are reminded that they must wear face coverings on any public or school-operated transport.
The school continues to run a wide-ranging co-curricular programme, following government guidance and with a full risk assessment for each activity, a large number of sports are once again available along with music for keyboard and string instruments and socially-distanced drama opportunities.
We are aware that pupils have had very different experiences of lock-down and some may have concerns about returning to school. The pastoral team have been working over recent weeks to provide additional guidance to tutors on support that may be necessary as pupils return to the school site. The team has also been reaching out to parents who have specific concerns to provide support. We are also aware the Covid-19 pandemic has caused financial difficulties and strain for many families, and the school has offered help to parents who have had a change in financial circumstances.
We regret that we are still unable to accept any external visitors for non-essential business to the school site. Anyone who was hoping to visit the site should contact the relevant member of staff/department to make suitable alternative arrangements. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Any parents wishing to view the latest documentation about the school’s response should visit the Covid-19 Information page on the Parent Portal.
Our September and October Open Days ran as virtual events and the St Paul’s Juniors Open Day scheduled for November will also take place virtually, including the opportunity for question and answer sessions. Further details can be found on the admissions pages of the website. If you would like to know more, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
