It was a tough block fixture on Saturday vs Hampton School.

In the 1st XI match, we won the toss and elected to bat on a good wicket and sunny morning. However, heads were not in the right places after two weeks off and a week of exams, and we were bowled out for 103. R. Walter showed some fight in the middle order scoring an unbeaten 35. Lunch was an opportunity to regroup and by mid-afternoon, we had Hampton five wickets down for only 50 runs and a sniff at victory, but it was not to be, with Hampton winning by 5 wickets. U14 F. de Mestre bowled well on debut returning figures of 1-21 off 10 overs. The 2nd and 3rd XIs also had difficult afternoons both losing by significant margins. The U15s had a much more successful day, however, beating Hampton by 7 wickets with S. Francombe scoring an unbeaten century. The U15B and Cs both lost but G. Ashton (90*) and D. Cheung (59) impressed with the bat for the Bs. The U14As won with T. Raj making 74 and captain Y. Prasad taking 4-19. The U14Bs lost a thriller by 1 wicket while the U14Cs won by 54 runs with M. Rainer scoring 67. The U15As play away in the semi-final of the Middlesex Cup vs Harrow on Thursday, and we have a block fixture against RGS Guildford on Saturday.
