SPS vs Reed’s School, Saturday 22 June
On Saturday we played Reed’s School and for once this season the weather played ball.
The 1st lost a high scoring match by 55 runs. The 2nd Xi has a remarkable day with both openers – S Datla (106 not out) and A Ali (100) – scoring centuries winning by 68 runs. The 3rd XI lost a very close match by 3 wickets in the final over of the game with C. Perera (85) and M. Mehta (53) impressing with the bat.
At U15 level, the As won, while the Bs and Cs lost. For the As T. Raaj continued his fine form with the bat scoring 49 not out, while S Balaguru took 5-25.
At U14 level, the As lost while the Bs and Cs won, with G. Vandini making 76 not out for the Cs.
This coming week, on Tuesday we host the annual U16 T20 competition against KCS, Hampton and Dulwich, on Thursday the U15ABCs play Tiffin School, while on Saturday we have a full block against Dulwich College. The following week sees the annual 1st XI cricket festival which we are hosting this year.
