Last Saturday we had our final block fixture of term versus Dulwich College. Throughout the day both schools collaborated to raise funds and awareness for the Ruth Strauss Foundation. The 1st XI lost a close game by 19 runs, with both R. Walter and S. Bhatia scoring half centuries, and debutant T. Raaj impressing behind the stumps and with the bat. Both the 2nd XI and 3rd XI won by 8 wickets, with impressive performances from G. El-Guindi (64*), R. Shukla (45) for the 2nd XI, and A. Malhotra (4-23) and N. Dhar (42) for the 3rd XI. At the U15 level, the As lost while the Bs and Cs won. The highlight was A. Martins outstanding 101 for the Bs, while W. Mudie also scored 56 for the Bs, and X. Tras 64 for the Cs. At U14 level the As and Cs lost while the Bs won. N. Bansal and Z. Martyn both took 3 wickets each for the As, while A. Bhalodia took 3 wickets for the Bs. Earlier in the week the U15s all won against Tiffin School.
In addition, on Tuesday St Paul’s hosted the annual U16 T20 competition with Dulwich College, KCS Wimbledon and Hampton. The team secured wins against Dulwich College and then KCS to win the competition and retain their title from last year. This we are hosting the annual cricket festival with The Leys School, Fettes College and Monkton Combe School.
