Next week, the Faculty of Languages and Classics will be celebrating languages, foreign cultures and language learning with a fascinating and fun programme of house events, competitions, workshops, and talks to celebrate European Week of Languages. To give a flavour of the week, here are a few highlights:
- Challenging the Audience – an evening workshop on the reading of foreign language theatrical texts for A Level
- Languages House Passport Competition

- House Languages Countdown
- Languages Treasure Hunt
- Pupils vs Languages Teachers University Challenge
- Italian gelato, cannoli, and tiramisù workshops
- Latin creative writing workshop

All pupils and staff are welcome to take part. The full programme of events can be viewed on the Co-Curricular Hub here. Please note that this site can only be accessed with a pupil’s school log-in, so we would encourage parents and guardians to look at the programme with their son.
