Eight Lower Eighth Formers – Will Palmer, Angel Ellis, Ibrahim Khan, Rayn Lakha, Fergus Walsh, John Moretti, James Marks and Theo Westcott – participated in last Friday’s South-East Regional Heat of the European Youth Parliament competition.
Working jointly with St Paul’s Girls’ School, in two teams comprising four students from each school, they debated resolutions on gender politics, reducing recidivism, energy prices and digital skills.
Although in the end neither team won outright, both teams were extremely impressive throughout the competition, and can now go forward as individuals to further EYP events.
