Lower Eighth Parents’ Exhibition Talk and Visit – Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams

10 MAY 2019

10:00am

Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams has opened at the Victoria & Albert Museum to widespread acclaim. Spanning from 1947 to the present day, this exhibition traces the history and impact of one of the 20th century’s most influential couturiers, exploring the enduring influence of the fashion house and Dior’s relationship with Britain. It features rare haute couture garments, including the dress worn by Princess Margaret for her 21st birthday celebrations, together with objects ranging from the designer’s personal possessions to sketches and fashion photography. The exhibition also explores how Dior’s successors have continued his legacy.

Come and join fellow Lower Eighth Form parents on Friday 10 May for a 30-minute introductory talk followed by entry to the exhibition. We will meet in the Courtyard Café in the Exhibition Road Quarter from 10am, at the Sackler reception desk for the talk at 10.25am and the exhibition entrance at 11.10am.
