Murder in the Cathedral By T.S. Eliot – Directed by Edward Williams

It is 900 years since Archbishop Thomas à Becket was murdered in Canterbury Cathedral and almost 40 years since Archbishop Oscar Romero was assassinated as he said Mass in a chapel in El Salvador. Both had incurred the anger of the authorities and both were killed by order of their head of state. This production of Murder in the Cathedral, which will seek to explore parallels between the two stories, will be performed in St  Peter’s Church, Acton Green as part of the Bedford Park Festival, as well as in the Samuel Pepys Theatre.
