Nothing is more immediate to our experience of the universe than our awareness of the flow of time; effects follow causes with mundane regularity. However when we look for an underlying explanation in the laws of physics things are anything but intuitive. The fabric of space-time seems to unravel at the edges and weirdness leaks into the framework.
