Firefly at Goodwood

After a term and a half’s worth of building, early March saw Team Firefly’s third car, FF03, ready to be tested at the legendary Goodwood.

Despite persistent rain falling on the day, excitement levels were at fever pitch as the team of Fourth Formers arrived at the race track. The team quickly sorted a lack of chain tension in the car and headed onto the track to test out their vehicle, with each member of the team taking turns to perform various roles, from driving the car to being the race engineer, as well as organising the pit crew.

After a long and enjoyable afternoon at the track, the team was left feeling satisfied at the running of the car but remained hungry to make the car even faster and more efficient over the coming season. A huge thank you to Miss Douglass, Arthur and all the other members of staff who have made the FF03 journey possible.
