The league season started with 14 fixtures vs Haileybury, with approximately 280 pupils from both schools on site and some highly encouraging results:
The 1st XI had their work cut out against a strong Haileybury team and the match could have gone either way, finishing in a 2:2 draw with goals coming from Moyo Lawani and Raiyaan Hussain. The 2nd XI put on a fantastic display of attacking football, winning their match 4-0, with two goals from Sam Francombe and a goal each for Kai Petersen and Ale Salford. There were equally great results for the 3rd XI with a 6-3 win; the 4th XI dominated their match 9-1 including a hat-trick from Sam Steeden; the 5th XI were tenacious winning 3-1 and the 6th XI had an impressive 4-1 win.
On the 3G, the U15A continued their fine form winning 2-1, with goals from Josh Guttmann and Vansh Rathi whilst the U15B team were held to a 0-0 thriller with chances to win the game missed from both teams. The U15C team enjoyed a 5-0 win whilst the U15D team won their match 12-0!
The U16A team lost their match 2-1 despite last ditch efforts to hold on to the draw, conceding late in the game but the rest of the U16 year group teams were utterly dominant. The U16B team won 7-1, with goals coming from Yoshi Gissing, Kasim Ataullah, George Panayides, Tomi Mahoney and a hat-trick from Wilbur Mudie whilst the U16C team won 3-0 and the U16D and 7th XI combined team were rampant with a 9-0 victory – hat-trick hero Krishan Sornalingam leading the charge.
The final block results were: St Paul’s won 11, drew 2 and lost 1 – all results are accessible on SOCs.
