Last weekend saw the return of the local block fixture against KCS Wimbledon and it was great that so many teams from SPJ and SPS could compete close to home.
The afternoon saw a good spread of results overall for St Paul’s, the 1st XI won 4-0 with yet another hatrick for Thomas (Lower Eighth), making it 5 on the bounce. The game was a test of character, played on a small, bumpy pitch away from home. SPS dug in for the first half an hour and could have gone behind, but a brilliant team move and finish from Sasha (Upper Eighth) broke the deadlock. In the second half, superior athleticism again shone through as Thomas rattled in three, including one screamer from the edge of the box. Lorenzo (Lower Eighth) and Captain Luca (Upper Eighth) were dominant in midfield.
