Going for Gold in the Long Jump

Phil Kastner secured the U20 gold medal for the long jump in the South of England Indoor Championships.

Fighting off strong competition, Phil managed to save his best until last. His jump in the final round was a huge 6.65 metres, equalling the school senior long jump record. What a way to secure the win!

Alongside winning the long jump, Phil also competed in the 60 metre hurdles. Running the race in a new personal best of 8.49 seconds, he finished fourth. These two performances combined earned him ninth position in the UK U20 rankings for the season, a fantastic achievement.

Well done to Phil for his incredibly strong performances in both the track and field. Keep up the good work!
