Staff, parents and guests gathered to celebrate the Grand Opening of St Paul’s Prep School on Thursday 5 February 2026.
The event opened with a fanfare performed by current Prep School pupils, following which Oliver Snowball (Head of St Paul’s Prep School) gave a brief welcome. Richard Cassell (Chair of Governors) remarked at the time which has passed and how the school has changed since he himself attended as a pupil. He thanked all those involved, and cut the ribbon to signify the official opening of the buildings.
Performances by Recital Choir and SPJazz were enjoyed by all in the Ichthys Hall, and Sally-Anne Huang (High Master) delivered a speech, thanking the Governors for their original vision for these fantastic buildings. Mr Snowball then gave his own rousing speech, citing a well-known sentiment from Winnie the Pooh: “It isn’t much good having anything exciting, if you can’t share it with somebody”.
Reverend Matt Knox then blessed the building, and the evening continued with refreshments and tours by the Senior Leadership Team.
