The HFX business strategy game is an eight-week online course in which Lower Eighth and Upper Eighth students have the chance to take the reins of a virtual electronics company.
They will have to make major strategic decisions surrounding investment, product mix, salaries, and dividends to out-compete other student companies.
The course is typically aimed at MBA/Business students, but St Paul’s is trialing the first-ever high school version in which pupils will learn about the factors that affect P&L, balance sheets, net working capital and share price.
The game commences on 25 January and will run until 15 March and we have already received over 40 sign-ups from St Paul’s and our partner schools.
