Congratulations to all pupils and staff at St Paul’s who are celebrating remarkable and record-breaking GCSE results.
Congratulations to all pupils and staff at St Paul’s who are celebrating remarkable and record-breaking GCSE results. These results are even more impressive considering that almost all pupils take 11 subjects at GCSE as well as engaging in a broad range of supra and extra-curricular activities.
Headline figures include 60% of all results at the top level grade 9, while 85% were at the equivalent of the old A* (new grades 8 and 9).
As well as these superb headline statistics, there have been very many individual success stories where boys have exceeded their own and, indeed, our expectations.
GCSE results can sometimes influence pupils’ choices and decisions regarding further study. That is why our Tutors, careers counsellors and heads of department will be on hand over the coming weeks to give well-informed guidance to those who need it, ranging from advice on re-marks to subject choices for the Eighth Form.
St Paul’s School will publish the full set of results in October after re-marks have taken place. This is now the third year of results for the new-style GCSE exams in England, which have more complex content, a greater reliance on final exam results and replace the previous A* to G grades with a scale running from 9 to 1.
