IEA Budget Challenge

A Lower Eighth team of Economists (Duncan, Jamie, Victor and Tony) has come runner-up in the IEA Budget Challenge, judged by Dr Steve Davies, Baroness Helena Morrissey, Rt Hon Ruth Kelly and Dr Juan Castaneda.

The team tackled the problem using a fundamental Economic approach starting with factors of production. They researched university-level Economics models and employed advanced data analysis technique to come up with a unique combination of policies.

As a result, the team received a prize of £250 and each member was also offered an internship at the IEA.
