Immerse 2021 Essay Competition

We delighted to announce that there have been a number of successful entries success in the Immerse Education Essay Competition for the Cambridge and Oxford Summer School. Lower Eighth students, Samuel Marson, Ben Jacob and Mahikanshu Bose recently submitted entries for under the International Relations category.

The judges were impressed with their essays ‘Is the UN still relevant?’ and awarded all three of them a partial scholarship to participate in their Oxford Summer School programme. There were thousands of entries from students attending leading schools worldwide, and the judges have remarked on the exceptionally high quality of essays they received.

This follows on from the news last week that Lower Eighth student, Oscar Vitou, also received a partial scholarship in the same competition for his Physics essay.

The Immerse Education Essay Competition provides the opportunity for students aged 13-18 to submit essay responses to a pre-set question relating to their chosen subject. The competition is run by the Immerse Education company, who run summer programmes at Oxford University.
