On Wednesday 31 May, Fourth Former Seon Shaw and Fifth Former Philip Kastner competed in an inter-county pentathlon competition held at the K2 Stadium in Crawley.
Seon finished third in the U15 contest with a score of 1913 points, following a fine personal best of 2:26.2 in the final 800m event. Whilst in the U17 pentathlon, Philip took second place overall with 2365 points, having led the competition until the final event. Although not able to compete in Crawley, another Fourth Form pupil, Greg Zoppos, has also been selected for the competition in Kingston, where competitors will be fighting to qualify for the English Schools’ National Championships to be held in September.
