On Saturday 3 May at the Cambridge Union, Yidong and Bruno (both Fourth Form) took part in the final of the International Competition for Young Debaters, the world’s largest British Parliamentary format junior debating competition.
Yidong and Bruno faced the best debaters from around the world, including teams from Australia, Dubai and Zimbabwe. Whilst they won two of the four qualifying rounds, they narrowly missed making it through to the semi-finals. They both performed brilliantly on the day and showed wonderful qualities of teamwork, resilience and humility.
