In addition to racing in black and white during the 2023 season, four Paulines represented Great Britain. In May, Philip (Lower Eighth) and Felix (Lower Eighth) were selected to race at the Munich International Regatta where they won gold in the coxless four on Saturday, followed by gold in the eight on Sunday – results that boded well for later World Championship selection.
After a week of gruelling racing at Henley, several members of the 1st VIII headed to Nottingham for GB final trials. Sam (Lower Eighth) earned himself a place in both the coxed four and eight to race at the Coupe de la Jeunesse in July; Philip was selected for the World Championship coxless four; Felix and Alp (Sixth Form) earned themselves seats in the WC eight; and Pat Wild made up one half of the WC pair.

Sam returned from the Coupe with two gold medals, having helped GB to victory over Italy in the four and Czechia in the eight.

At the U19 World Championships in August, Pat and his partner made the A final of the pair event, ultimately finishing 6th. Philip took 4th place in the A final of the four. Felix and Alp (Sixth Form) powered the GB eight to become U19 world champions, giving Felix another international gold to add to his Coupe medal from 2022.
