Over the Easter break, following an achievement of second place in the national competition, five Lower Eighth pupils participated in the International “Safe Cracking” Physics Tournament.
For the tournament, team ‘Now You See Me’ – Alex, Teymour, Samuel, Artem and Xuanlin – had designed and built a table-top puzzle based on principles of Physics.
Safe cracking skills, peer rating, puzzle difficulty, design, physics knowledge, build quality and presentation were all judging criteria.
The team, ‘Now You See Me’, took first place. This is the highest result a team from St Paul’s has achieved since 2022, and marks the third occasion an SPS team has achieved international victory.
